Microbiologist, writer, tea drinker

I write about science, and the connections between microbes and the world around us.

My work

I am an experienced and adaptable science writer, translating groundbreaking research developments into relatable features, articles and other content. I’ve also written about careers, popular culture and the connections between science, health and history.

In addition to my writing, I work with science and technology organisations to create and articulate their research strategies, ensuring that these are meaningful and have well evidenced impacts. I am particularly interested in how science is used to create equitable health benefits, and the role of inclusive public engagement and communication.

You can find some examples of my science, and other, writing by following the link below.
